PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS LOVE THIS BOOK
My 4 and 8 year olds love reading this book. They love the illustrations, the story, and their ability to read the story aloud.
- JAMES
This book is nostalgic. I am tired of today's children's books with cartoon illustrations. I love the story, pace, and brushstrokes in this beautiful children's book that I read to my grandchildren.
- LEE
It was delightful when my children finished reading this story and promptly went outside to build an environment in a bug jar. The book inspires new appreciation for nature in our yard.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Chad Billmyer grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has an economics degree from Brown University.
When he is not writing children's books, he is working in technology. He lives in Santa Monica, California, where he is raising a boy and looking after the boy’s dog.
ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Kory Alexander's paintings portray dreamlike worlds that set open-ended, memory-like questions into motion. His pictorial iconography persuasively recruits the viewer’s ability, or desire, to complete the narrative.
He formulates his landscapes with minimalistic color fields animated by romantic, expressive brushwork that is both refreshing and crucial to grounding Alexander's work in the field of contemporary realism. Alexander received his bachelor’s degree in the Arts & Technology Program from the University of Texas at Dallas. He lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
